Flea Market of Memories Part of the SurVivArt-Right to a Good life project sponsored by Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, with additional support from the American Embassyy and Mith Samlanh Flea Market of Memories is a project that reflects on consumerism and disposable culture in contemporary society. Oeur Sokuntevy will set up a moneyless flea market, where objects of sentimental value will be exchanged, accompanied by the stories of each object as told by their owners. A jumper knitted in the pre-Pol Pot era and hidden for use of the next generation, a table that was given as payment for work, a graphic design pen from an ex-boyfriend - objects of significance - awaiting new owners. The artist invites you to be part of this personal exchange of memories and objects of significance by bringing an item of your own to the market. This event is part of the international project SurVivArt-Right to a Good life developed by Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung. Through the support of the HBS international offices, artists from Ethiopia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Nigeria, Thailand and the Czech Republic have been invited to reflect on the meaning of "the right to a Good Life," thus creating a bridge between sustainability, climate change, gender equality, art and culture.
